REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. Keep an eye out in your email for future Jaguar JumpSTART dates.
Do you need to complete your Reading/Writing (ELAR) or Math TSI? Jaguar JumpSTART is a free event for you to prepare for the TSI and take the exam(s) all in one day! Students get to take a refresher session then test for FREE! Light breakfast items and lunch provided.
Questions & Answers
- First-year students who have been admitted to the University for the Fall 2022 semester and do not have TSI scores (Math, Reading/Writing) on file.
- Students who need to submit scores and/take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment should complete this program in order to be cleared to sign-up for New Student Orientation and register for classes.
At Jaguar JumpSTART, you will get a refresher on the subjects of the TSI assessment and you’ll get to take the TSI assessment on-campus.
No, you can only attend Jaguar JumpSTART one time. Please select one of the sessions
Jaguar JumpSTART is an in-person program.
This program is provided FREE for incoming first-year students who plan to enroll for the Fall 2022 semester.
Once you have signed-up, lookout for more information via email. You'll need to complete a pre-assignment before your session.
Once you have been registered, we will assign you a schedule for the day. The schedule for one section is below:
- Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m.
- Session: Reading/Writing (ELAR) or Math Session starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m.
- Testing begins in the testing center at 10 a.m. and ends at 1 pm
- Lunch will be available 12 pm to 2 pm
Once you have been registered, we will assign you a schedule for the day. The schedule for both sections is below:

- Session 2: Reading/Writing (ELAR) or Math Session starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m.
- Lunch will be available 12 pm to 1 pm
- Testing begin at 1 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m.
- Valid Photo ID (e.g. driver's license, passport or passport card, Texas Department of Public Safety identification card, government/military ID, or current alien resident's card) so you may be allowed to TSI test.
- Comfortable attire & light jacket
