There are a few different ways you can become eligible for Jaguar Promise. 

1. If you are a high school student graduating in the Top 10% of your class.
2. If you are graduating from an Early College High School in Texas with at least 30 credits.
3. If you are a high school student and you are in the Top 35% of your graduating class and you have an adjusted gross family income of $70,000 or less. 
4. If you are a transfer student who has earned an Associate’s degree or at least 60 college credits and you have an adjusted gross family income of $70,000 or less. 
   
   

The Jaguar Promise is a last-dollar promise program which means that every eligible student will receive an institutional scholarship, if necessary. The scholarship will go into effect to cover the gap for the total cost of tuition, fees, and books* after all financial aid and scholarships have been awarded (not including loans).

The Jaguar Promise program is effective starting in Fall 2024 for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Students are encouraged to take early action to become eligible for Jaguar Promise. There are 3 main steps: 

1. Apply for admission - high school priority application deadline is January 15, 2024 and for transfers, the priority application deadline is March 15, 2024.
2. Submit transcripts - transcripts are required for an admissions decision and to confirm high school ranking, ECHS credits, or transfer credits.
3. Apply for financial aid - priority deadline is March 15, 2024.
